I'm fed up of Karoo's 2mb broadband and O2's very poor 3G service

Wont make much difference to KC/Karoo as it is mainly for mobiles and will have data restrictions (Don't believe the unlimited data plans, they are very misleading)

If you have a Orange T Mobile phone on 3G can you upgrade to EE? or do you have to get a new phone?

The iPhone 5 will have 4G, which is rumoured to be released in the next few weeks.

This won't have an effect on KC IMO as most broadband deals with Internet providers have low data usage. Unless Everything Everywhere bring out packages with 20GB plus, I won't be leaving. Can't see that happening though as it's usually 2-5GB data plans at the minute. To be honest I don't see a huge problem with 3G. Speeds aren't exactly slow as I only use my phone for browsing and sky go. I don't download much on my phone as I use wi-fi. I am into technology and stuff but 4G isn't needed for my personal use. Will probably be over priced as well!!

I was reading an article yesterday that said iPhone 5's sold in this country will not be 4g enabled

There is mix reports on if the iPhone 5 will have 4G or not in the UK but I assume with them rolling out 4G in the UK, Apple would be fools not to add it to the UK version. We'll see tomorrow when Apple reveal the new iPhone.

If you have an old phone Wilf go for it but if you are already in the 21st century just stick with it you will get to 4G just before 5G.

galaxy s3 can be sent in if with orange/t mobile and get a simple upgrade to make it 4g compatible! be a while before any other networks get it

Heard EE won't be bringing 4G until next year in Hull. Read on the Internet Vodafone/O2 will bring 4G next spring with better speeds. Apparently they have acquired a better spectrum meaning better connection. Just seen 4G poster in Vodafone in town.

apparently the EE 4G is pretty unstable unless you're in their main stor in central London, I'd stay away from it for a good year or so before shelling out.

like anything in this field, let the hipsters/scenesters get it first for high prices then after a short while the tech improves and the price also drops so most normal people can then invest

Well I have a Samsung Galaxy with Orange T Mobile and it automatically upgraded to EE. My partner only has a pay as you go Barry basic and it did the same. I am clueless as to what EE means to us. I will google it

EE is the new name for Orange, its just a network, not 4G
