Ive been to a few games this year and ive seen them on sky a few times too and what ive seen has been very poor apart from when we beat the Dobbins and Leeds. I think too many are living in hope just because of a couple of glimpses of an improvement when the actual evidence points to a only a slight improvement if not a decline. And im sick of hearing about it being Agars team as Madge at Wigan inherited a team and won the GF with it

I'd agree with you somewhat but not the Wigan part.

Big difference is Madge took over a team that was a game away from the grand final the previous season. Gentle took over a team scraping into the playoffs and getting battered.

Ellis wasn't given enough time IMO and would've preferred to keep him till at least the end of the season and see Nicko depart. There were rumours of a bad attitude to being dropped to 20s but the games that i saw he looked enthusiastic and willing to work at that level.

Gentle needs time to build a squad and we will see progress next season it will take more then that to sort out the problems the club has at every level. Our junior system has been starved of cash and promises not kept about "a centre of excellance" being built for years. The departing Ellis had more then his share of "opportunities" and I think he would be the first to admit " he blew it at FC" . A coach has to command respect and the rules of the club are to be followed not flouted at every chance. The early promise of this season is fading away as player are either told they are not getting contracts or are being offered their "true worth". This was always going to be a difficult season for everyone and we should write it off now as it belong to the last regime.

Many on here gave the last regime more then enough time to put the job right more in hope then anything else . They are now baying for success after three qurters of a season, they need a reality check.
