Thanks for another great read Wilf. It seems to me that refereeing standards have plummeted since they went all professional. The official pool is far too small, so bad games from officials are usually ignored by the powers that be. Its about time we brought some more in, Aussies for instance who could come over for a season or two.
Anyway, that game is yesterday's chip paper. We have to learn from it and move on! COYH!!

Thanks for the Monday fix Wilf, it makes you wonder how the RFL measure their ROI (return on investment) with referees, this was not an isolated incident, it happens every week - just ask Sandras C!ck who appears to be strangely quiet on the subject.
Are they actually worth full time status/pay ?

No, they're not, but the RFL are hardly a shing example of beacons of achievement, it's similar to the FA, there's only really Cycling and Tennis that have the governing bodies they need, and don't get me started on the R&A!!!

It's taken me until now to read your Diary due to being in a state of shock after the weekend. And being an avid reader of your work, I just knew it would start my anger over Ganson *Spit. I honestly predicted he would show his true colours at the weekend. True to form he has influenced another game of note and provided the fans with a talking point other than the game itself.
