It would've been a brilliant move, but I don't really understand the juxtaposition between 'special offers' and the SMC agreement. I realise that it doesn't work in our favour, but surely bigger crowds would give us increased profit, even if the share swings towards the SMC over the 8k figure, or whatever it is?

If not, why would Lord Faulkner be pushing for bigger crowds? Or does he need those bigger crowds to be paying full whack to make it pay? To the extent that cheap offers actually cost us money?

I think this is probably it. It's too expensive to offer discounted 'regular' tickets with the current agreement. Was hoping for some news on re-negotiation by now.

The Egyptian doesn't like us, does he? Presumably because our protection is one off the council's main arguments in keeping the stadium.

Not sure it would. Obviously the connection with City's powers that be would be lost. Can't decide if that's for the good (Adam would put full time effort into Hull) or bad (no more obligation on behalf of the Allams to keep Pearson onside). Perhaps Adam's hanging on at City until the new SMC deal is struck.
