| Celebrating the build up to the only true City Derby in the Rugby League, what has been your favourite Derby match?
I've seen a few and enjoyed some more than others.
My personal favourite match was the 1984 Yorkshire Cup Final at a packed Boothferry Park. Rovers leading in the first half, but Peter Sterling shaking off jet lag to help Hull with Kemble, Norton & Co, to dominate the second half for a great win.

| My first derby match was my first RL match, with the inlaws and the Mrs. Remember it being pretty intimidating in Threepenny's and there being a 24 man brawl, with Sterling running up the wing with centre in support while everyone else knocked lumps out of each other. 1993/1994 I think. No idea who won (fight or game)

That was a great game. Rovers had a drop out that Kemble took and then proceeded to run through their defence to score a great solo effort. Pete Sterling had a great game as well.

| I always recall the 79 Floodlit trophy final. great occassion for a 9 year old. first final i ever went to and we won.
Wembley 80 was special despite everything on the pitch. my first trip to London and Wembley. the build up was amazing shame we lost. but my all time fav is the one at CP when Casey had a brain fart after the tough guy Fred Ah Koui rattled him. Big win sunny day and very enjoyable.

One of my favourites as well that one. It is on the FC TV classic games and Rovers came out all guns blazing into a 12-0 lead before we came back in the 2nd half to win it 29-12.

| I liked the one in the season where we played our home derby at Boothferry Park and Rovers won so invaded the pitch so on the return leg at new caravan park we won and did the same with that big buster blood vessel bloke stood on the pitch infront of the east stand chastising the rovers fans with us all (few thousand) behind him
Back then the East stand held both sets of fans with us taking up two thirds of it

| Only been watching since SL, so I'd say the 2010 home derby where there was a big brawl. I missed the 2008 one as I was on holiday! (gutted!)

Probably mine too, cracking game.
Also the Boothferry park game with Kemble's two tries was memorable.

That Craven park game was fantastic. Seem to remember being behind by a couple of scores first half and Steve Evans going the length of the pitch towards the end to top off a comfortable win. Didn't it also delay their title winning celebrations by one week as well?
The 1984 29-12 Yorkshire cup win was also great just like any other game with Sterling playing.

| Can only remember the SL derby's, and out of those i'd say the 2010 one at the KC has been the best.
it had the massive brawl, and Tom Briscoe's last ditch tackle.

| Far too many from the 80's to chose just one, but the CP Fred v Casey game, along with my 1st ever derby, the 79 floodlit. do stand out.

Our coach broke down on the way to Leeds and as we got in the ground. Wileman picked the ball up and went down the wing. Great timing

| I remember a Challenge cup 3rd round game at the Boulevard around 76/77. Bill Ramsey was playing for us, as well as Keith Boxall who was playing some great stuff, Hancock and Davidson in the halves Glyn Turner at Centre.
Anyway, Rovers had a great side at that time and were overwhelming favourites on the day. As the match reached the last quarter it was clear a valiant FC effort would not be enoughs to stay with them. Then with around 20 mins to go and leading by 6 or 7 pts points, they had a man sent off, I think it was Paul Rose. 10 mins later Phil Lowe was sent off too for punching, and we were playing against 11 men, of course even with a team of workers we were camped on their line, and finally went over with around 5 minutes left. Rovers were now defending for their lives and we bombed chance after chance. Then with seconds left, Glyn Turner fed Alf Macklin with a pass that was at least a yard forward, burly Alf ran through Sully from 5 ds out to score in the Threepenny's/Bunkers corner. We all waited for it to be chalked off for the pass but amazingly the ref let it stand. That won us the game. Rovers had stars all over the team, and we'd done a goliath on them, albeit with 11 men, but it didn't matter. We'd won. In the next round we drew Cup holders Widnes at home and went out 20-8 at the Boulevard. At that time many felt that Millward and Sully had both missed their best chance to get to Wembley, as their careers at the top were coming to an end, or so we thought. Little did we know what was to happen in 3 years later, or that amazingly Sully would also win it again with his beloved FC .
