Feel so bad for fans that have travelled. So disappointing.

'Hull FC can confirm that this evening’s game in the Stobart Super League against Catalans Dragons has been postponed due to a frozen pitch. A pitch inspection was held at the Stade Gilbert Brutus at 2pm, with representatives of both clubs and the RFL and the decision was reached. The club would urge as supporters and their families to contact any fans who are in Perpignan as soon as possible to inform them of the decision. Both clubs and the RFL will now work together with a view to re-arranging the fixture and an announcement will be made in due course. Nice to see the the frogs pulling out all the stops to get the match on,They must have known during the week that it was in doubt.

Presumably the most likely dates are 16th June the weekend of the England v Exiles or 14th July which is Challenge Cup semis weekend should neither team be involved.

As I said in an earlier post, It's a fecking disgrace! You can bet your bottom dollar the RFL won't say a ward to the people running the club. Why wasn't measures put into place to protect the pitch or even make the decision earlier? I feel for all the fans that have travelled all the way to France (some for the 1st time) to realise the club couldn't be bothered to at least try to limit the damage.

I agree, compared to the efforts of Saints, who had people working through the night and pitch covers with heaters underneath to thaw the pitch out...it is a poor effort.

It will be planned for the earliest date (IMO), if they plan for July 14th, and either club makes the semi's, there are no free weekends after that - would mean a midweeker in france.

Make them re-schedule it for the KC, unfair to make fans travel twice and its not like any of theres travel

At least we're still unbeaten this season. Gutted for all those that travelled though

A nice 40min flight to Barcelona and use CST to Perpignan.

It should be in France. Its a Catalan home game so should be played at Catalan.

Mental note to self...Never go to France to watch a match. Lazy gits, if the ground staff at Saints can work through the night with heaters and a field bubble thingy me bob then why cant this club bearing in mind the fact that the away support was travelling from sunny East yorkshire to the south of France. I feel so sorry for the travelling fans because its not cheap to travel there and no one will be willing to offer free travel for when the games rearranged. RFL take note and ask questions as to why this match was not postponed yesterday! Its not like this weather wasn,t expected even in the South of France because it was mentioned two days ago in the Barry n Terry pod cast thing from WilliamHill.

Really a pitty for everyone this. Not a good game to have to back up on another later in the season. Also does not really let players get into the swing of the season. Never mind the inconvenicene for travelling fans.

Fair question tbh. Its not as if the temperatures had been ok and this caught them by surprise.
