Does anyone have any idea how close elland road is to the train station in Leeds?really want to go on Saturday but without driving.any help much appreciated

its half an hours walk or so but its a tricky route - dosn't go through anywhere particularly bad but its just awkward navigating. should be match buses on which go from under the large bridge near the scarboro taps pub

The 51 bus to Morley goes right past Elland Rd. Don't know if they'll be putting shuttle buses on like they do when Leeds Utd are at home. If they do, get that its great value and much quicker.

This press release was from 2009 but, as there was no info about arrangements for this Saturday, I emailed the RFL who replied yesterday saying that "unfortunately no shuttle buses have been organised"!! What a joke! They're expecting a crowd of well over 30k and they hadn't sorted this out. Leeds United have shuttle buses for every home match with smaller crowds.
However, not to be undone, I rang Metrobus who told me that they ARE running but it had been uncertain up to today... They run from Sovereign Street (near the station) to the ground and return from the road behind the East Stand.
I can now happily go by train!
