Cant see further than his own nose. To stipulate the reason nowhere to put Hull fair is a joke.
Would have created many jobs and after yesterdays job losses would have been welcomed.

What a crock of !!!
No guarantee of anything with Allams dream, not even any plans. He just expected the council to hand over the stadium for nothing as the councils contibution to his so called sports village. What benefit do the council get in doing that?? What do the tax payers of Hull get for it?? Nothing. He needs the KC handed over to him as collateral so he can borrow against it. No guarantee in this current climate that it would ever get off the ground and then what? He has a nice purpose built stadium for free!!

| how can anybody take the Allams sport village seriously.
1 They didn't realise we already have an ice rink. So they scrap that idea.
2 They turn up to a meeting to get the KC and surrounding land for nothing with no plans/drawings of how they plan to develope it.
3 Terry Geraghty asks if they realise the cost of running an Olympic size pool. when he enlightens them they decide to scrap that too. Leaving a multi storey car park, squash court and half a dozen shops.
4 part of their half ar$ed plan is to aquire £20 million through the sports council, 20% of their annual funding. Get real.

Have a listen to last nights sportstalk. TG stated his main concern was looking after the welfare of Hull FC as it was possible if Allam got the stadium we could have been evicted within 15 months.
Ask yourself this, are the likes of Ennerdale, Woodford, Haltemprice etc overflowing with people wanting to use them? It would have created annother massive white elephant.
It would not have created that many jobs.
Lets see if Allam has the minerals to now do what he said he would and build it at Melton. As, if he needed the rights to the KC to borrow against to build "his dream" he will not have anything to borrow against at Melton.
Then again, if he is as loaded as some like to think he is, he could have financed the project himself. By the way, he isn't anywhere near as wealth as some beleive.
TG also offered Allam Costello as a development site, he turned it down. He doesn't want to leave a "present for the city", its all a money making scheme. Fair enough, his in business, but lets not get fooled it was for the people of Hull.

Maybe thats because when I was at school with Ehab we went ice skating at Grimsby or Bradford as the Ice Arena wasnt open or roller skating at Blisters lol. Still you'd think in 20 years they'd have twigged that we had one with the Ice Hockey team being called Hull Thunder and now Hull Stingrays after the demise of Humberside County Council eh considering he claims to be so pro sport for the Hull area. Mind you easy mistake to make isnt it
The fact is he wanted the land and stadium for nothing, what the hell have Boutiques and shops got to do with a Sports Village??
If he built a sports village with facilities such as an ice arena, swimming pools etc etc what would happen to the council faciltiies we all have access too?? They would be closed as not enough people would use them and we would them be limited to using Allams Village so where is the benefit to the community or communities as it would no doubt have an effect on East Riding facilites such as Haltemprice etc.
In reality jobs maybe created during the construction but not that many long term ones, nor many if a Village even became a reality.

I know for a FACT the Allams did themselves in, after three or four meetings the council have no confidence in the Allams. The council would and will not stand in the way of investment in this city, but they will not just give away £40m of council assets to fund a pie in the sky pipe dream written on the back of a cig packet.

| They wanted the stadium and surrounding land for peanuts.
Then to use their newly acquired asset to raise a commercial mortgage to pay for their dream. Except the ice rink. And the swimming pool.
Still, after his previous threats I now look forward to seeing the design for their new stadium and sporting village at Melton. Really really looking forward to seeing those...

Just my own opinion i think it would have been good for the city. We shall now see if he goes ahead with his pipe dream in melton, i hope he doesnt because that could still have massive complications for Hull FC.

Mate I'm not against developement and if AP was behind this development then I'm pretty sure it would be going through but he isn't and the way the Allams have conducted themselves from day one has been nothing more than amateurish.

Not sure how you read it, but to me he's obviously well detached from this part of the Allams plan's, as he was quite surprised by some of the statement's Burnsy put too him. Such as Hull Fc's costing the Allam's money and he wanted to rip up the tennancy agreement and start again. AP seemed genuinely baffled as he say's Hull FC make the SMC good money and as for ripping up a tennancy agreement that's a non starter bececause he's tried before.

Adam said a while ago that he was keeping well clear of it all!!! What else could he say today he works for Allam ...at present!!!!!............he'll keep his head down and like the rest of us no doubt breathe a sigh of relief! I just think that the Council have rumbled a half baked unprepared scheme, I would think that when you consider the state of retail for the current traders in west hull and the number of empty shops there are in the City centre the last thing that they will want is more retail and boutiques been added to the scheme, then there is the demand for Squash in that part of West Hull. If a retail/sporting Village is his bright idea where better than Boothfery Road on the western fringes of the City. Costello would have been ideal, but he doesn't want that does he, he wants the Stadium to borrow agains and as he said a while ago to the City Fans he cannot speculate on better players if he does not own it, there's the rub I think!. Any way whatever Adam Pearson said, As I have said before if a well briefed Council portfolio holders states that Hull Fc could be out of there in 15 months you have to sit up and listen! Just my thoughts of course!

| I dont see why Hull FC fans are so dead set against the development. Adam Pearson has obviously got a good relationship with Allam and would be shrewd enough to get a watertight long term lease in place to use the Stadium.
The only way that i can see it affecting Hull FC is that long term you get to play in a better facility when Allams plans are realised.

It all depends on the price he was offering IMO. I've never seen an official number. If some of the rumours are true it was always goung to be a complete non-starter. Anything less than £25-30 million and his idea of [igiving[/i a gift is different to mine. That'd just be to make a referendum a political possibility - he'd maybe have to go higher to actually win it.

I can see why a lot a sceptical. The whole idea doesn't make any sense if take a face value. There is no need for another ice arena or swimming pool. If he was looking to develop a state of the art training facility and a gym etc for the clubs to use and maybe add car parking, hotel and even the casino then maybe but this all looks a bit thrown together.
I really don't think there is anything for FC fans to worry about, the scheme looks so flawed it'll never get signed off. As for the Melton complex I can't see how he has that kind of capital available.
The one big concern is if Wilf's statement is wrong and Pearson was Allams way of getting on the inside at FC.

It has been stated in the press that the stadium and land would have been the City's contribution to the sports village and he would be investing 80 million(of other peoples money).
