The difference between Warrington and Cas is Cas' defence is paper thin while Warrington's is rock solid. We don't have the attacking player's or structure to break down the top defences ATM. Hopefully Heremeia, McKinnon and Seymour will improve that. I think Phelps showed tonight that although he's a solid full back, to be a top team you need a bit more.

Also, it was obviously our game plan to bomb it in the air considering we didn't put a different attacking kick in till the second half.. Why? I can understand bombing to Riley with Whiting but why consistently bomb it to Hodgson, one of the safest full backs in the league?

Your performance wasn't a great deal different. It just shows the gulf between top of the table and the rest of us fannying about in the middle.

Spot on Stanley. We are extremely consistent IMO. We put away teams below us and lose to the ones above us. The table doesn't lie.

Warrington are a very good team, very physical always 2/3 in the tackle. Gentle has a lot to do to get us competing with the best in this comp.

We're not much different to be fair. As you say the table doesn't lie. Wire were clinical tonight, how many times did they have possession in your half and NOT score? (2, maybe 3?). Oh for a coach like Smith.

At times our attack looked as clueless as it ever has! Too flat, no runners, nobody taking control.

Thought Horney tried his heart out, some of his stuff just didn't come off. Westy put 100% in, whether his plays came off or not he put everything into it.

Commented on their tackling technique during the game, agree 3 men in the tackle most times with one peeling away back into the devensive line and the other two holding the tackle long enough for the 3rd to get back onside, very effective.

Said it before, we're to much a nice team. We don't move up and get into the oppositions faces. No killer instinct at all and stood still waiting to tackle. Lost how many times the Wire tacklers drove our player back. Amen to Agar

Can`t argue with that.Thats why I can`t get hyped about the play offs,we (both Hull clubs) will bomb out early.

We really don't help ourselves though as our ball carriers work after contact is dreadful, have no idea why we fight for a extra 2 yards even though it ends up in us giving away a slow PTB and lets the defensive line get set.

Compare our players with Warrington's on their exit sets, Monaghan especially its contact - spin off to the side - find your front and get a quick PTB.

That said its no coincidence when Moa and O'Meley went off our intensity dropped dramatically.
