Since we have lost Long It seems as if the club has finally realised that the team is not about one man, but about the team. Maybe a lesson we should have learnt when Cooke went to the dark side. I wanted Agar gone but I think now he has probably earned 5 games next season.

Well it is going to be interesting, if we have a very good play-off run which is very possible with the form we have hit who knows what will happen AP may decide to keep him.

Know-one can deny we have been playing some fantastic rugby and clocking up some amazing scores lately. Imagine what we could do with a kicker in the team

Still not beaten Leeds for four years, 1 win in 7 against Wigan, 1 in 6 against Warrington, 2 in 8 against Saints.

We've played some enterprising rugby league recently but we need a new coach to make the step up to the required level. We don't play weak teams every week.

Sean Long will always be a legend of the game. Wayne Rooney will always be a class act. Shaun Edwards made Wigan tick and Pele was a Brazil great - difference is a top coach will plan for life without the star man and have a backup in the wings. I dont think Agar did - but he's learnt that lesson.

Probably the fact he is assistant at Salford has given him other priorities.

Assumed he was still under contract with us and would have had an obligation to be part of match day if fit enough to do so. Must of agreed a comprimise with his contract.

Agar has to go regardless, he has had 4 years now and reaching the end of a shelf life of a RL coach. I also cannot forget how he plays the game when his job is not on the line.

Suspect this is the AP influence, demanding better rather than AGAR suddenly becoming a good coach. AP obviously taken good advice and acted on it - amazing where basic professionalism can take you !!

You are wasting your time giving praise to Agar.You won't get any positives regarding Agar on here what so ever.

He's a cracking assistant coach, there's praise for him

Even at our best with Agar at the helm, we are way off the the pace of the top performing teams.

We're definitely better than we were but our sudden upsurge in form has co-incided with us playing rubbish or out of form teams. We're still not as good as we should be with the salary cap spend we have and relatively few injuries

Maybe since the 'buy-out', and the recent good results, some of Richard Agar's control/influence has been reduced and given to someone else and that person, not Richard Agar is responsible in some small way to the change that has started to take place.

I am not attempting to belittle Richard Agar for recent good results. I have no-one in mind by the way. It is just a something I have been thinking sinc Mr Pearson took control of the club.

Or maybe some of agar's shackles have been taken off and he's now showing us what a great coach he is
