Just a quick question, were coming for the Wigan game Friday and was wondering if any of you guys can advise on any pubs/restaurants within walking distance of the stadium, doesn't have to be anything fancy, pub grub will do? Any info would be much appreciated. Cheers.

admiral of the humber(weatherspoons) is close by for value, just as you get into the city centre from anlaby road

The area just outside the station with a couple of takeaways has been named "the food quarter" somewhat bizzarly. Best bet is admiral of the Humber mentioned above. Cross the road from the main entrance to the station, turn right and first decent sized left (i think). If not St Stephens shopping next to the station has Nandos and stuff..

As others have said, the Wetherspoons pub Admiral of the Humber is a good bet.

If you click on the map, the KC is about a 15 minute walk down Anlaby Road.

If they are coming down Clive Sullivan then head onto St Andrews for a few restaurants and a pub that does grub. Mac d's Frankie & Bennys and a few more as i recall.

There is also a pizza hut and sail makers pub which does 2 for £10 on some meals.

Avenue pub on Chanterlands avenue, 10 minute walk to the ground...
Great food, nicely priced and cheap booze too.
