It's reported in the HDM that Adam Pearson is close to a sensational takeover of Hull FC. He could take over Hull FC with immediate effect ending the 12 years of control of the 5 present Board of Directors.

Its something we all though was a good idea when he and Nick Barmby tried to buy the club a while back and it meets the aims of a lot of people who support the club but now with his involvement with Mr Allam fans will be suspicious until the facts are known the trouble is with these sort of things you can't say anything or give assurances until the deal is done. Pearson has always been a friend of Hull Fc and is not know for anything but being straight and honourable but the conspiracy theories will be flying thick and fast and all Fc fans can do is sit tight and watch what happens!It would have been better if Hull Daily Mail had angled for an exclusive when something is confirmed rather that gone with what is just rumour and conjecture but as Rover and City found out recently they like to ruffle the natives a bit it sells papers and its what they do.

As long as the allams aren't involved and he is going it alone with maybe some some other backers then it can only be a good thing imo.

Why?

Because pearson is always the front man. If he had no involvement with allam then I'd welcome it, but as it is, this would effectively put Hull into allam's hands to do with what he wants.

Not necessarily. It may give him a clean slate - Pearson may decide to give him more time.

Great news for the club. If Allam wanted it he would have bought it. IMO Pearson has bought us independently.
