So wasteful. It's like when we need to score late in a match and times running out and our scrum dither and wander about instead of packing down quickly to stop the clock.

So just because we have the second most amount of offloads doesn't meant we throw the ball about and play good free flowing rugby. Alot of the offloads are to players stood still waiting for the pass and not from supporting a break and then recieving the offload. Also look at the majority of offloads last night, most of them to the floor or to a Rhinos player.

been saying all year 1 of those little things that get on my tits its so obvious that horne and obst struggle yet youve got westy and whiting on the pitch that can belt the ball 30 odd yeards down field. westy and whiting should put there hands up and take over and agar simply has to recognise this and get the message across ffs.

In fairness we do something, we knock on.

But we don't throw the ball around, we play percentage rugby.

Offloading isn't the same as playing free flowing rugby is it.

Can I add playing the ball too slowly to the list as well as kicking to touch and not setting a scrum quick enough when needed? We are so slow. It's plain to see the advantage it gives to sides who do this regularly.

Its the same when Thorman was here, he used to makes 10 maybe 20 yards and it used to drive me crazy. I also remember Rich Whiting taking the ball off him and booting it into touch making around 40 yards...
Whiting, Westerman and Tickle are probably our biggest kickers in our team so why does it fall to probably the smallest player in superleague!!!

We're the same with Dobson, there are bigger kickers in the team but it must be accuracy over distance.

How accurate do you have to be to kick a ball 30 metres upfield.... the kick and clap brigade manage it with ease.

Who said it was? You said: "We never take risks", offloading is a huge risk as you allude to in your post when you mention how, on Friday, they didn't come off. I'm not trying to say we play champagne Rugby, far from it infact, but to say we take no risks in light of those offloading stats just isn't true.

Does anyone think we (Hull Fc) actually practice these areas of the game? I for one fail to see how we can be so consistently crap in the fundamentals of the game: Kicking from the hand, passing off the floor, running lines and supporting the ball carrier are at times awful or just non existent. These are professional players with all the available resources and time to perfect even the slightest of weakness's in their own game or team play/plays.
You have to (yet again) ask the question, is it the individual that's at fault, the coaching staff, or both?

Agar seem to have a 'your playing in the halves - your kicking' attitude as if its an exact science that your kicker has to be your 6 or 7?!

Obst and Horne have never had kicking games so asking them to kick both short and long is suicide. As previous posters have mentioned Westerman, Whiting and Tickle all have superior kicking techniques. Why not leave it to them? They don't even have to kick from first man - if they are two men wide they can get deeper, give themselves more time, and draw the defence up giving them a bigger area to kick into. Simples, no??
