Looking at the highlights it seems to me that Horne is back to his "game weight", is it the TV playing tricks or is he back to where he needs to be size wise?

Still needs a few more Kilos but i am led to believe that has to be done slowly and within a plan (those with the same issues will know better why ) but is now on top of his medication and given a decent run injury free looks like the old RH , the show and go is working again, he is hitting the line hard again and breaking tackles all over once again...
for my book completely controlled the match from start to finish and looked like RH of old

Horne was wrote off far to quickly by too many people. It's great to see him playing injury free and consistently again. He is the key to our side imo.

Don't think some people realise how important he is to our team. Just as important as Longy or Fitz.

Horne did well yesterday. Good support play, made a few breaks etc. His kicking game leaveas a lot to be desired though.

He's never had a kicking game though, in all fairness.

when he was a shoe in for GB he was never considered a kicker TBF

I completely admit that I for one thought the lad was finished as far as top form went, but to be fair he did look finished.

He's still not back to what he was and dont rhink he will ever be IMI but he ain't half bad, i mentioned on another thread that if it came down to a straight choice between him and Obst for next season retention then he would edge it for me looking at the squad we have.

He's not a kicker though and I'm not sure whether he ends up with it (not just this season) because its expected due to his position? I think we've had some strong kicking sides over the past few years but Rich often ended/ends up with the duties, either by default or coaching or sheer bloody-mindedness.

Glad to see him back in form. Must admit I was worried that he'd never get back to playing consistently well but he's he's proved my worries unfounded. Looking at the highlights of the Wakey game he makes a couple of tries as well as scoring one and his support play seems back to it's best.

As far as his kicking game goes - his short game is actually pretty good. It's when he needs to kick it further than 10m or so that he struggles. Don't think that will ever change!

Agreed, but it does beg the question as to why he ends up being the go to player after the fifth tackle for the kick.

I'd like to see Westerman / Tickle be given a more active role for long kicks and Obst / houghton involved in short kicks. This would allow Horne to follow up on these kicks which suits his support play style.
