Just received a club email offering me as a fan living in the East Riding a deal with KC for Phone and broadband including a new 2012 FC home shirt (Goes on Sale in December).

Seems a strange promotion for KC to do unless they are upgrading their academy sponsorship to take on the main shirt sponsorship. FC are known to charge for this sort of promotion (IE free shirts or even mailouts), so there must be something in this relationship.

KC lose the monopoly in Hull this September. I think they must be upping their sponsorship by the sound of it, good business if true.

An international company like P&O looks better than just a local firm, but if KC pay more for the sponsorship then all well and good !

Whilst I appreciate your point I would suggest that KCOM are more than a 'local' firm.

Infact, although P&O ferries may be more easily recognised, in terms of turnover KCOM are much larger, £418 million as opposed to £282million based on the last set of published figures

Obviously as a global brand P&O are much bigger

they've spent a lot of time and money on a team that have achieved little, you can't blame them.

Well we've reached the Grand Final and the Challenge Cup final whilst having them as the main shirt sponsor. The latter especially will have given them plenty of national and international advertising.

Would be a shame if the deal was not renewed, but they've been the sponsors for six seasons now which is quite a run.

As long as a new sponsor puts more than P&O into the club and they are a suitable brand (not some betting company, for example) I'm happy.

I doubt Guinness are interested in RL, they sponsor the 6 Nations already.

RBS sponsor the 6 Nations mate. Guinness used to sponsor the Premiership, but that was taken over by Aviva this season.
