Despite shall we say a more controversial and interesting game (and better atmosphere) it was still notable that the crowd is thousands down on last season.

Same fixture last season: 13,352. Tonight (with far more away fans than most teams bring) 11,856.

Not surprised i had to really force myself to go tonight and really wish i had not botherd ! dont like friday nights any more!!!!!!!

Seems we've lost 2,000 fans on average? Very concerning but not suprising at £24 walk up and such a poor run of results.

30k down in profits on that game at least. Plus 15k on crusaders and at least 60k on the Leeds game, turning out to be an expensive season so far for the club.

Aggregate so far this season 45,823 - for corresponding games last season the aggregate was 52,482.

Down 1,665 a game on average.

I'd say 2K down would be about right, against Quins/Crusaders/Salford/Catalan it'd have been sub 10K I reckon, the club can't justify these high prices.

and while I personally prefer Friday nights, it is perhaps time to consider switching to a mixture of game days again. Particularly as corporate sales (one of the main reasons of the Friday switch) have been so poor.

I will put my hand up and say my mrs and me didn`t go tonight,thus making a saving of approx £55 in entrance fees,bridge tickets and petrol.I felt dead guilty about it as I havn`t missed a home game in years, but after the Wakey game I decided to give this one a miss.

I think the corporate sales are down simply because were playing awful rugby and businesses can't give tickets away.

The downturn is the biggest factor in corporate sales, companies can't splash the cash on jollies to the rugby like they used to...but corporate sales were a big factor in the clubs decision and if that factor isn't there anymore then surely having a few sunday games isn't out of the question. Due to our bad form we are hardly picked to be on SKY these days either.

The fans have been brilliant from 2008 to 2010 despite the utter cr4p we've had to watch. The club have been extremely fortunate up to now IMO and it's going to take a massive turnaround in playing terms to tempt those people back

Decided not to go tonight. Not missed a home game for years, can't bd d with them at the moment. This is worse than the Walsh era, then we had a crap team and couldn't win. Now we have everything to build a decent team and move up the table yet we just seem to be happy to take the money and sod the rugby. As long as Agar, Rule and Kath are here we're going one way DOWN

yes crowds are down i said i was not going today as a protest but come today could not stay away . to say you wish you had not bothered is beyond me as its the best attacking rugby we have seen for a while , not saying brilliant as we need to improve a hell of a lot ,apart from the ref enough said enjoyed the passion in there tonight not been able to say that for a while .\ also i love fridays

Spot on !! I was invited to the Cas game to a free meal, free drinks, free game etc... I chose not to go. At the Wakey game, we spent 80% of our time in the corporatebox cracking jokes and getting pi$$ed... it was more entertaining !.... the product just isnt worth the money.. so how can you invite clients/customers etc?.

Anyone know what the Cas following was? Looked a fair few but quite a lot was sectioned off?

Crowds will be down due to a mixture of austerity and poor results at home this season after a good home season last time. Companies are not spending money on entertaining and sponsorship - even the FA cup is struggling to attract a new sponsor. Tough times all round - still an excellent gate though.

To be honest I didn't think there was 11k there last night, the East and West stands are only about two thirds full at the most. I suspect the club are counting all the pass holders then adding the walk up figures together to get the 11k but this is giving a false reading. Even chav corner has vanished.

The announced attendance sounded about right to me.

The club only include passholders who turn up, as has been pointed out previously.

Announced attendance looked about right to me, but surprised to see around only 1200 Cas fans at most, thought it would be nearer 2000.

might be something to do with 25 quid a head to get in. very expensive. never thought id see rugby league fans being priced out of the game.
