Exactly, the main story isnt the sale of the ground but yet another delay for the new ground. |

Me too, their ground application is only now being considered by the council and it's anticipated to be in place by 2013! that alone would concern me after already agreeing to sell their current ground. |

The £50 Million is for the whole project thats not what Cas are getting for Wheldon rd. They will get enough to build the new stadium and have some over which is something, but not until 2013 it looks now.
Still its progress and I for one will regret not going to Wheldon rd

I know but the place has some good memories for me as I went to matches there as a boy a lot as well due to family living in Cas. FC has always been my first love but I am always happy Wheldon rd, its home and I shall miss its intimacy.
Its a shame its outlived its life now and progress will help Cas like getting the KC helped us. |

I too, like Ian, are pleased for Cas that their move to Glasshoughton seems to be OK now, and would urge the Wakefield Council to approve the move asap so that if they shift quickly maybe another of us 'flat-capped lovers the G.Game' will survive. Wish Wakey could find another millionnaire to cough up the dosh and help them to survive as well.
I am one of the old brigade who think that SL is more interested in keeping the likes of London (whatever name they pick -they've had so many like Kent whatsit,Fulam, Broncos) why don't they just put the dosh they've forked out for them, France,Wrexham etc. and put it where it would really start to move League into the same locations -the amateurs. Talk about teach your grannie to suck eggs -...........grannyfan Cindy
