| Agree the guy needs to go but we will end up in the same place 18 months from now if we change coach
Why?
The employers.
The board of this club are a joke, they stripped out the heatbeat of this club, they removed good passionate guys and brought in sterile nothings. If Agar goes it will be the same people with the same work ethics and beliefs, so they will hire ANOTHER boring yes man.
To be told last night that "all the players are behind Agar and reckon hes alright" really does fill me with fear.
We actually had a decent 17 out there last night, including 4 challenge cup winners from 2005
Please Kath et all, feck off, sell this club to someone who cares, someone who can show an ounce of passion and belief. Someone who can take the club off life support and bring it back to life.
Hull FC need a shot in the arm, a big one before more damage is done.

They have been for sale for some time from what I am told, but the people who were/are interested want to take the full club on, and Kath talks telephone numbers for the cost of her shares.

not everyone wants to sell, you have to remember these people have pumped a lot of their own money in, they want a return on their investment.

From what we are told there is no "debt" to the board, so its just profits now for shareholders......

of course there is debt, it's just internal to directors.
and why should they not make a profit?
Hull FC isn't a charity, and it isn't being run by philanthropists.

| Tried to enlighten one of your own in "FC Wembley 08" as to how you should be furious with your teams performance last week:
Quote cadoo wrote:I disagree.
Wigan did not show up. Paul Deacon went off early with an injury and was rushed to hospital I believe on the back of an ambulance with a facial injury. It was from here that we just seemed to lose our shape in attack. Wigan are a very formulated, well oiled attacking machine. We stick to our structures and they work. However this week we didn't use them at all. We had no running off the ball, no dummy runners and went away from what we've been doing since Madge arrived that saw us crowned champions. At times we went to just one man rugby. We played the game very slowly too. We just weren't quick enough in attack and looked very laboured. Compare this attacking performance to the one you saw at home last season. You were trounced 41-0 (something like that) and Wigan were very, very clinical in attack. Take the performance against Bradford away this season. Bradford weren't too bad a side, they played quite well, but they couldn't break us down & we still slammed 40+ points on them because our attacking play was spot on. I will credit Kirk Yeaman and Tom Briscoe for their defence outwide. They kept us at bay. We were wrong to target both these players as they weren't letting anything past them. Will Sharp however was ball watching all game and wasn't marking Josh Charnley at all. All throughout the game I was calling for that long ball from Lockers & eventually we saw it. I thought it might be too late to work that overlap because we'd gone a man down, but we pulled it off. Will Sharp should get a rollicking from his coach. He is part of the reason you lost the game IMO.
I don't see how you can blame the man in the middle from a Hull FC point of view! Fans/coaches are always clutching at straws if they blame the referee. You can't blame a referee for a loss. You play the game for 80 minutes and it is all in your own control whether you get the two points or not. Mike Maguire has never once in his time at Wigan looked to blame the referee for a defeat. What calls have upset you? You had Willie Manu have two shots at Sam Tomkins around the head that were very dangerous. One was put on report. He could have easily been sin binned the second time round. You had another incident were Joel Tomkins and Kirk Yeaman were fighting the first time (I think). Neither player got sin binned. An appalling decision. The whole situation could have been calmed down if both players went for ten minutes to cool off. No players would have been banned and there would have been far less bad blood between both sets of supporters too. Instead Ganson let the game carry on and sure enough next tackle with tempers flying high we get another brawl. Now I've seen the footage and agree with Mike Maguire. Joel Tomkins leads with the forearm, which makes the initial contact and his elbow goes up. Silly. However he is given a straight red. All in your favour on that one. Kirk Yeaman was fighting again and could have been sin binned but wasn't. Lee Radford came running in throwing punches and could have also been sin binned. He wasn't. So on the contrary, I think you had the key decisions go your way on that one.
So we lose a man and this usually fires up a team - you are correct it does & it did. But how can that be an excuse? Wigan played the majority of the match with one man missing from the bench (Paul Deacon) and then played the rest of the game with just 12 men (so ultimately two players missing) and you lost. That is absolutely appalling and unacceptable. Hull FC needed to remain composed, keep disciplined and play for territory and you would have walked away with the precious two points. The fact that Wigan were able to work an overlap with a man down is unbelievable & your coach should be more furious with his side than with the referee or the Wigan players. '"
And it seems nothing has changed this week either. Richard Agar has got to go. You have a very good squad with an excellent pack, some good backs and two very experienced - if a little injury prone - halfbacks. You should NOT be losing to Wakefield at home (no disrespect to Wakefield intended).

When Rule was asked about debt at a fans forum last season he stated that the club was completely debt free.

Many businesses are "debt free", which can often mean they do not owe money to external agencies, it is all an internal debt.
My business "owes" me money, but if you ran a credit check it would come up as "debt free".
Anyway, it's largely irrelevant, our current shareholders have their own idea of what their shares are worth.
I did notice last night a few players are sponsored by "The Addams Family" or other such small sponsors, what happened to the likes of Campbell Engineering, Stockill etc.
Recession, or Jimmy's attitude?

The question was asked in direct relation to the often quoted 1.6 Million pounds we owed at one time and how much of that we still owed. Rule quite clearly stated that we no longer owed any of that money.
Perhaps Mrs B can clear this up.

Not sure that I can, because we only file abbreviated accounts. This means that whilst we can see the total value of creditors, and the profit made, we don't get any detail of either. What I can say is that the creditors number has reduced substantially since 2004 and it's reasonable to assume that the amount owed to the directors is a big factor in this. You are correct in that Rule has stated that the club is "debt free" but we still have "creditors" which can be a whole host of things, from accruals of electric bills not yet invoiced, to season passes paid for before the end of November for the following season, to amounts owed to HMRC.

to be fair to the board the lack of small sponsorships (such as match ball sponsors, player sponsors etc) is hitting all sports due to the recession. Marketing departments just don't have the cash to splash on jolly days out at the rugby like they used to.
I'm not saying they haven't annoyed any company at some point...but its a different commercial world to 2-3 years ago.
