although not blown away by his signature,and its only one game..thought the lad was outstanding last night..he took on the line,his distribution was good and supported the man with the ball well and was geeing everyone round him up..well played sam...please keep it up!!

I wasn't that fussed when we sign him but he's proving me wrong looks a top player and you can tell if things don't go right he still be 100 percent effort

I have always liked him, he does the little things (no pun intended) very well; tackles like he's twice the size, runs good angles and brings other players onto the ball, last night he was stood at 1st reciever barking orders like he's been here years.
I said last night he'll turn out to be one of those signings the club makes as a 'fill in' but he will end up playing a big part in what happens on and off the field.

Was pleased when we secured his services and he is starting to pay off and looks a class little act and maybe just maybe is the missing link we needed in the halves, once he gets more game time and gets to know the deal better he will only get better himself...

very good backup to have and if he carries on like he did last night then i can see him keeping long out but i do hope a good scrum half is signed for 2012 with obst still been as back up to half and hooker

Rovers always seem to struggle against him

to 'fight' to reclaim that position.

If we've lowered the bar as far as Obst now, then we do have real problems !!!

He would be an adequate squad/cover player if he didn't take up a quota spot.

This season is going to be a very long one if we go with what we have now + 1 or 2 Obst-like signings.

2012 looks like our next chance to compete on a serious level and that is more than depressing for a club the size of ours !!!


Funny how a lot of Fc fans have a short memory what to look back at what they where posting about Obst In Jan,when i first said it looks like you will be signing him what a joke

I have to admit i was underwhelmed by that signing but he looks good so far! To be fair i dont mind any player i thinks going to be average or worse sticking two fingers up at me an proving me wrong if there playing for our club!!

People keep going on about 2012 but think it will be harder than ever to attract top players to super league not just Fc

Another sad act whos obsessed with hull fc...best way to deal with them is to ignore them....his mother obviously does...id be more interested in talking about mason on there own site..

He's average but better than nothing. It's only that we haven't had a scrum half for about 6 years that is causing people to pee their pants over obst.

Well i for one have always rated Sam Obst,and look forward to him having the title of the best scrum half in Hull.

Any body know if he's got a good record at staying fit?
