He showed he's still got some class as we beat probably the 3rd weakest team in the competition. I'm taking nothing away from him, but he still has to prove he can stay fit and prove he can still do it against the better opposition.

I know its probably a bit premature, but he really impressed tonight and I for one are pleased for him.

How Westerman beat horne for man of the match is a mystery to me. Inspirational tonite.

Much improved on last week and seemed to have a lot more confidence in his own body being able to take a hit. Put in some very good passes which is unlike him really and he was stepping quite well. Yes the opposition was terrible, but if he can continue to improve I'll be very happy.

just what we said, dont begrudge the kid it, but Horne/Obst and also Whiting was far worthy.

I'm pleased for him too, genuinely am. I don't think he really has 'critics', he has those who aren't convinced he can do it on a regular basis anymore, so one swallow doesn't make a summer.

horne and obst both deserved to be man of the match, for those who claim horney is past it or still needs to prove he can hack it should remember it's games like tonight that will help build up his confidence and a stronger understanding with obst for bigger games in the next few weeks.

Not sure Horne was MOM to be honest, possibly top 3 but I dont think he was the best player on the pitch. Maybe its a little of him playing much better than he has in a while but I thought Obst was better on the night for instance.

maybe you dont think he was mom tonight but the impact he had on the game helped others play well too. I cant nail a mom myself not sure who to give it to. Even a top 3 id stuggle. I thought everyone put a stint in and stood up for each other. So for me it was a team effort with no stand outs

Best performance for a long while, largely because Obst took the pressure of kicking and organizing off him, leaving Horne to simply take the line on.

Fair comment that. But I did think he played well and I for one, hope that he steps up as we know he has done in the past, and performs. To me, he is FC. I hope. I really hope.

I thought Horney had a great game personally (long balls, scored a good try, kick to set up briscoe) him and obst looked a good partnership I wouldn't personally change that combination even if longy is fit for the next game, I think obst has showed more in 2 and a half games than longy has in his time here at fc!

Nice to hear that Horne played well. Hope he kicks on from that.

Horne looked really good last night, if there is one player we miss it's him. He ran strongly and his short kicking game is really good. If he stays fit we have a chance of doing well as for me he is our heartbeat and was even when Cooke was here.

MOM by a country mile! And only his 2nd match back, even better to come?
