early days yet, needs to be played at 13 but potentially a very good player for the future, make sure you look after rangi for us anyways

Still settling in, slowly improving but not being played in correct position really, our coach is clueless so not sure how the lad will go.

His best 20 minutes for us was when moved to 6 against Leeds IMO. Certainly looks happier when he has had spells at 13/6. He played as much at 13 against Huddersfield as he did at 11 (Fitz did a stint up at prop). Ball in hand he looks like he will be more than useful long term but his problem so far (again IMO) is he is trying almost too hard and has resulted in a couple of poor defensive reads and one silly offload against Hudds. Is certainly a keeper though and should be more of an asset as the pitches firm up and the weather gets warmer.

I am probably the most optimistic fc fan you will encounter, however after spending over a year arguing with my hubby & brother (who both believe Agar is not the man for us), I have accepted it



I think Agar is a really nice man, however even I the most optimistic realise he is clueless I could rotate better and I am a girl

I think Westerman is improving match by match but we need to start playing him in the right position to get the best out of him.

We won't see the best of him until he is played in the correct position, which is probably not any time soon.

Yes I heard he had not hit it off with a couple of senior members of the squad, but then again I heard a few others are also not too keen on the same couple of senior members, maybe all just gossip who knows.

I have it on very good authority that Westerman was never 'Agar's man'!

The Hethrington's wanted him when it was clear he was available and this sudden change of direction derailed Agar's attempts to recruit a halfback.

Aware of some of the off-field problems which have plagued Joe over the past two years, I understand that the club have insisted that he moves out of Castleford, but I am not sure if this has happened yet!

Tricky one this, seen nothing to see he's any better playing at 2nd row than Burnett, and personally I don't think he's particularly stood out in his brief showing in other positions. I think it's accurate to say we've paid for potential that's not quite been realized yet. Hopefully, it's still there to tap into.
