Yes, it was George, he's my uncle. I remember him having the Challenge Cup at his house after we'd won in 1982.

Great bloke George, he had his practise above the opticians where I used to work, sorted out many a stiff neck or frozen shoulder for me

Sorry guys, i've been reliably informed that George Kendal was the A team physio and the main physio at that time was John stipson (SP), but even this is the wrong answer...the physio i'm on about was a small chap, lived in Hessle or that area and the players (laughably) were scared to death of him.......if I find out before someone gets it right on here i'll post it.

Arthur Walker supported Ray Norrie - he was a really short dark haired bloke. I know his son well !

Dog Man, your nearly there mate i'm sure as the person who'm i'm trying to find out for said that she was sure his 1st name was Jack, as for Arthur walker, he now does the physioing (SP...hahaha...don't even know if it's a word) at Hull boys club.
What might be confusing is the time he was physio at the club as she said he was before Ray, but she didn't say how long before.......lol

Keep trying, the help is really appreciated and as I say, if I find out i'll put us all out of our misery......it's so annoying having a name on the tip of your tongue!!!

It depends how far back you want to go. When I first started going to the Boulevard in the mid 1970s the man with the magic sponge was former player and champion skier Cyril Sykes. I think Cyril was physio under David Doyle-Davidson and may have moved on not long after Arthur Bunting took over.
