Poor read Wilf, you cant help but make slanted comparisons against Rovers.

Your season ticket assessment is a joke, as you somehow conveniently forgot to mention the club rovers benefits eg - 1/2 price away derby tickets, £10 off replica shirts etc.

Quite pathetic really....

But you can't get these prices without club Rovers.............Reel em in

And you conveniently forgot to mention that to qualify for those "extra benefits" you need to spend [uanother[/u £45 on a shirt and [uanother[/u £12 on a derby ticket, that's having already paid more over 2 years for a pass in the Golf Stand than the South Stand at the KC.

If I remember correctly John Gallagher was called 'The Worlds Greatest Rugby Player', (my ar*e). I think he signed for a then World Record £250k, might have been even more, maybe £300k.

I was at that Leeds game and it was pretty much as Wilf described. He was never the same player after that game either. He couldn't catch a high ball if his life depended on it.

My father in law and myself often have the same arguement about whether it was Rob or Gary Nolan who scored for Hull that day.

I remember the Leeds game also, it was a fantastic ending. I can still see Gary Nolan's arm craning out of the tackle to score in the final.

The Leeds game I really recall after I emigrated south. I was working with a guy from Leeds at the time and we had a bit of banter about this game in the week leading up to it. The talk was all about Leeds' world superstar full back. I even recall southern Union fans telling me how great he was and how he would go down a storm in League. Oh how I loved telling them all how our unknown superstar from the amateur club in Hull had destroyed his reputation. Happy days.

Don't often make a comment. But jut wanted to say thanks for all your efforts Wilf, read the diary every week.

Great to remember that Leeds victory again, still remember almost getting trampled to death during the celebrations when we won in the Threepennies.
