Joking aside, it just goes to show how powerful the internet can be.
I have had 6 different people showing me the same text/email that they got sent from someone who is "in the know, like proper knows what's going on". Similarly on here, for all sides, there is a massive amount of people who know absolutely nothing yet state they know stuff FACT. There are of course some who are right more than they are wrong, but you get my drift lol

I always thought he boards purpose was for people to post opinions, thoughts, idea's etc not to act as a launch pad for other people taunts and jibes. Silly me




Anyway I have been following the story for some weeks and my contact down under who is very well placed in the NRL assures me that this is going nowhere. A little careful digging would have shown that the viral stuff was all started in NZ and like here the rumour mill has been in full drive. I think people will only make themselves look silly by wishing that KRs biggest signing for years will be involved in some sort of Bookie led witch hunt.

I'm not 'sniping' Ian - I'm challenging your statement that this is a dead issue and your rather flippant dismissal of any further discussion. There is a difference.

The emails claiming that bans were imminent and naming players were, indeed, a hoax. The ongoing police investigation is not. Pre-judging the result of that investigation seems a tad premature given the amount of resources being invested in it and statements by the NRL president himself.

I personally hope that it does, in fact, all come to nothing. The game doesn't need any additional scandals or challenges to it's integrity. Burying your head in the sand isn't going to help though.

I think he is talking about the hoax that named names and appears to be baseless. While the investigation continues anything could happen - anybody could be implicated; you, me or my next door neighbour Jim, for example. For now there is no news and what there was looks to have been poop. For now I'm more worried by the street peeing.

Yea, they are interviewing every player who played in the game, Queensland and Canterbury, part of their procedure.
They haven't "pulled in" anyone, and there is as much into this as there ever was, take from that what you will.
