I said at the time and still maintain that neither were red cards and that other players would not be treated the same and they have not been. The Buderus tackle was every bit as bad as the Tansey one and a kick like Tomkins produced should be a straight red.

Concur with all posts. It's a massive blight on the game unless you happen to support a fashionable club then it usually comes in handy.

Buderus's spear tackle was a lot worse than Tansey's,very dangerous.

I'm sure our resident Rovers tosspot will be along to tell us Tanseys was far worse at some point.

I did think Bentham did okay on Saturday, which is why he is by far the best ref we have.

I don't think there was that much in the Tomkins incident, more stupid than malicious. If he'd wanted to kick him i'm sure he'd have made a better job of it than that. Buderus should pick up a ban for his spear.
