Classic case of the players around him not being on his wavelength. You can see how hard he is trying but the players around him don't respond. The same happened at Harlequins with Scott Hill.

He had a poor game by his standards. So did a few others. He's had some good games as well. I wouldn't write him off just yet.

Long just didn't get involved enough. Never looked hungry. We needed a big game from him, especially when we lost Horne to fullback. Washbrook was woeful at halfback.

Agreed. Yes he had a poor game, but Longy still is a class act. It will have hurt him tonight as much as anyone. My only hope is that we have a good replacement lined up for him after next season, maybe a youngster who he can mentor next season? Kyle Briggs?!!

Long is still a far better half back than Horne.

He has played 2 in the last 10 and what did he do today jesus, stop living on what he used to be. His kicking today was below average, his passing in general is poor 40% of his passes go to ground ffs. I am not blaming him for losing, just dont think he was our way forward from the start of the season.

Long is a organising scrum half...Horne is a running stand off....bit of difference...but Horne is finished as well...pace has gone.

Dobson totally out-played Long tonight and for a player with his reputation i have expected a damn site more from him when he has played.I hope he plays all next season and proves what a class act he can be but not done what it says on the tin this season IMHO.
