How can Agar only use 3 out of the 4 subs when we had to cope with having only 12 players on the park for 70 minutes??????? Beggars belief!!



Surely you have to rotate and use the subs to full effect.....??????

Turner could have come on for anyone for ten minutes to spell them.

Could/would it have changed the outcome..............discuss.

Another poor piece of coaching for me.

With Turner as 4th sub I can't see the benefit of bringing him on on Sat tbh.

Normally I get annoyed when a sub isn't used but I think it was the right call with one man down

I suspect when Agar picked the bench he wasn't planning on Radford being sent off.

But I can't see the point of putting anyone on the bench if he isn't going to play him. However Agar does have form for it - I believe he has previously done it to Hall and Lyne.

Turner could have easily stepped in to play a part in the pack, even if for just a really short spell.

Agar isn't the only coach that has only used 3 out of 4 subs, he had to rotate his forwards. On the flip side, he could of utilised Turner at centre to free up Berro to rotate the forwards.

It has been. It's just that not everyone gets quite so overexcited when posting.

I think the option was to have Turner come on for Berrigan and let him give Houghton a rest?

Either way not sure where he could have played once Radders went off.

If there is a stick lying around you can always be assured someone will hit RA with it.

well turner would of been brought on as a backrower because berro made the right side look solid and no need to change, but who do you bring him on for fitzy, tickle, manu all got spelled so dont think fatigue was as much as a issue, and houghton looked good for the full 80 so no need to put berro there.

On the whole, Agar was right IMO.

Unless its Yeaman.

As I put in my turner/hall thread, really doesn't say much for Turner's long term for me.

But I agree, a waste of a bench spot.

He warmed up really well on the sideline.

The players, especially the forwards, were understandably tiring in the second half. Turner should have been used at some point to allow Berrigan a spell in the forwards and rest someone. If Agar doesn't think a fresh Turner is better than a tiring player then he shouldn't have picked him on the bench.

Yep, we should replace the centre who made our troublesome edge defense look solid with 12 men with a player who can't manage it with 13.
