| This bloke makes things happen when he touches the ball. He is completely wasted on the wing. It is simply a case of the more times he gets his hands on the ball the more things will happen.
Get the lad inside FFS. This guy can step, he can offload, he can beat men. Which team needs an off-loading winger? The bottom line is that you just get your most dangerous players involved more. Look at Jarryd Hayne at Parramatta. The bloke has his hands on the ball every set of six for the Eels and causes absolute havok. He gets put out on the wing for the Aussies and completely failed to have an impact in the 4 Nations.
Briscoe is that good. I remember when Paul Newlove started and Featherstone put him on the wing for half a season. It was obvious that you just had to get him involved and he was straight in the centres at 18.
There is a lot of talk on here about gamebreakers - you have one there fellas and is his talent is being held back?

| Actually, last night I was wondering what the kid must be feeling after having signed a 4 year contract to play with the shower of shiite that was on display last night. Could be in the starting 13 of any team in SL

| It can't happen now, we don't have one other winger at the club and although Briscoe could do more at centre he HAS to play Wing. However it's an interesting point for next season, should we bring in 2 new wingers and play Briscoe at centre? Was the plan to play him centre this year because looking at his squad number it would appear so?

You're right. If our centres were very good and keeping him out on the wing purely through form then fair enough. But they're not. Agar's two main weaknesses are motivation and a lack of imagination. OK injuries have left us short of wingers but next season Tom to move inside. FFS he is an international let's see how he performs in his preferred position.

I may have imagined it, but I seem to remember reading somewhere that he sees himself as a winger now.

I agree with you 100%. Think we are missing a trick not giving him a run at centre.

Briscoe would probably be of greater benefit to your team in the centres but who at the minute would play on the wing? Dont think you have a choice but to leave him where he is for now and then get a couple of new wingers in for next season.

I appreciate he is now a winger due to injuries to first choice wingers over the last couple of years - he became our first choice backup winger and with all the injuries to players like Raynor, Byrne, and Calderwood has spent most of his early career there and will probably have to stay there this season but this is to our detriment IMO!
At the end of the day he is Hull's strongest attacking weapon and needs to be used as such.
Maybe it is time to give Lyne or Tuffour a run in the first team?

| I agree that Briscoe has the talent and needs to be more involved but the only way for that to happen would be to put him in the second row.

| Briscoe on one wing, Whiting on the other. They both need to be moved in to get more involved.

| Even our centres don't get used enough so what would be the point of moving in Briscoe just one step?

I'd say we would be better served developing some attacking strategies that utilise our outside backs, rather than putting an international threequarter into the second row. We already have a million back rowers anyway.

100% agree, Briscoe is fine on the wing as he is but moving him in the centres wouldn't get him any more ball the way the team is playing now, the ball needs shifting out to him.

We have bigger issues than getting Briscoe on the ball more.
