As I understand it you can just register and get a limited service (20 hours a month) but if you get an invite code you can get the unlimited service. |

That's correct.
When Spotify first started it was invite-only but once you were in - you got 10 free invites.
They've changed the service now. Anyone who signs up is limited to only 20 hours a month.
However, if you've got an invite, you get unlimited time a month.
Some people are actually selling invites on eBay !!!!

theres no ac/dc, Floyd, Beatles, Lennon,Oasis etc.
use 'Grooveshark.com' alongside Spotify to cover everything.

I have Spotify and it is Pretty good,However I also like listening to new, less well known bands and for that,Jango is much much better.
Add your favorite Bands and it plays them like internet Radio,however it will also play an unsigned band occasionally and you vote as to wether you like or dislike it.
Give it a go,free to sign up and pretty much all I listen to now.

That's why i use Last.fm and i get it on my Phone & Xbox and it's built in to the home music system aswell so alot more universal. Can't stand listening to music through the computer!! |

couple of other things about the permium service. you get higher quality streams, and can listen via a mobile phone app for most modern phones. you can also synch the songs to your phone memory and listen offline, but remember its a streaming thing not a download service.
