I disagree. He's not English. He's Tongan. He's played for Tonga. He shouldn't, therefore, be able to play for England.

Fernando Torres has been in England for a few years. Doesn't mean that he should be able to play for England in a couple more, does it?

They're both great players, but neither should be able to play for England, as they aren't English.

If Torres hadn't have played for Spain he'd be available for england whenhes been here long enough

hardly, I welcome the foreign influence in superleague which has made our game the spectacle it is, especially from east hull of course with all the foreigners in our team



Call me old fashioned if you like but I'd like to cheer an england team on (or a great britain team in the past) that actually represents this country. I don't believe in shoe horning foreign players into the team to try and compete with the australian team in the name of bringing credibility to the international game. All that does in the end is undermine the international game by weakening teams like tonga, samoa etc. By the way I'd say the same if I was Irish, Welsh etc and the farce that is the grand parent rule!

This is not a Hull versus Rovers thing either, I've gone on record in the past that Willie Manu is a class player and believe it or not I would support an England team with 13 Englishmen who play for FC in it should that happen but nobody with the game at heart can seriously think picking people who have played for other nations for England on residency grounds is a good thing whoever they are, we are not England RU.
