I thought last night was finally the night when everything fell into place and we finally saw Rich score a 90 metre try.

When (or if) it ever happens it will be one of those events you'll remember where you were when you heard the news.....

Saw him outside before the game last night

Tells you something when our winger intercepts the ball and just about crosses half way before a 32 year hooker who had probably made 40 tackles beforehand easily cuts him down. I like Whiting, but my god he's slow.

Still made a 60 yard break and saved a try in the process.

Thought Whiting looked back to his best last night after his shocker last week.

And yet he was quick enough that not a single other Hull player managed to get near enough to support him.

I remember well that interception Rich took off Marcus Bai at Cardiff and Strode away gracefully to score,OH err Hang on a minute.

He ain't slow, he's just not quick!

I am certain that by the time I am 85 that try would have been full length. That was certainly a try to make a hero a legend.

On the evidence of last night he will make a good back rower anytime he is asked. Very strong running.

I can't wait for Calderwood to be back so that Whiting can play in a more central position. As well as he's played on the wing, I'd like to see him get his hands on the ball more often.

Whiting is the fastest man over 3 yards i have ever seen

G Hall is fast but he go without the ball ..He just fly out of the line

What he had the physicallity (sp) and stamina to do it all game in the backrow though, I am not convinced.

i would like to see whiting in the pack next season, not sure if he could do as well as he does in the backs but it's worth a shot if rumours about tickle/radford leaving are true

whiting bulked up a while ago but then broke his leg early in the season so his plans plyaing in the pack were interupted. if he plays in the pack then we have him and washy who could play 13....just a thought

if and when calders comes back,where will whiting go?can't see turner being dropped at the moment,as he's really starting to come into his own now.

Turner has been a revelation in recent weeks. He looks dangerous every time he attacks near the opposition line and he is probably our form centre at the moment. In all honesty, Calderwood will have to wait for his chance. If Turner and Whiting are playing well as a partnership (ditto Briscoe and Yeaman) then there is no place for Calderwood.

Whiting needs a position but definitely needs moving off the bloody wing when we've got calderwood back.

The reason he gets these interceptions is that he can read a game really well a lot of players are faster but don't have the positional sense to know where to go for the ball
