i don't think that the game of rugby leage should have its yearly world club challenge(wcc). the wcc is a good way to get teams worried about key players if they get injured in the wcc games so i think that th wcc games shoudn't be played.

I think the wcc is a good idea tbh, and I am sure you would agree if FC won a GF...I do not think teams worry about injuries they are just a hazard which could occur in any game tbh.

Far too long a response to the initail question.

Should be a couple of weeks after the Grand Finals, not at the start of a season.

But then it would be a level playing field and any SL team would get mullered! The only reason (IMO) why SL teams do relatively well in the WCC is due to conditions weighing heavily in their favour; played at a time when a competative game has already passed, location, weather conditions etc.

If it was played at the season end of both comps on neutral territory, middle ground, say Dubai, In dry conditions, i reckon it would be lambs to the slaughter.

So be it. I don't honestly see the benefit in the current set up where the Aussies treat it as a warm-up exercise and we use it to further delude ourselves that we're not that far behind them. Either have the real champion sides at match-sharpness go at it (and hopefully as a result drive us to genuinely close the gap) or scrap the whole deal.
