good speech and hopefully this guys attitude will rub off on some of our senior and more importantly the yonger players, shoo in for captain as much as radford is for LF

i think agar will see the effect he has on the rest of the squad before naming a captain.

After watching that i hope he is here for more than 1 year.
The guy is truly inspirational.

I wish him well whilst he's wearing my team shirt, but for goodness sake I hate to see all this fawning over the bloke before he's even arrived in the City. Remember folks, Rugby League is a TEAM sport.....and if this season they play as a team and back each other up for the whole of the 80mins, then maybe at the end of 2010 we can all then join in with what the fans of Fitz,z ex club thought. just an alternative thought but maybe fitz has had a say in the captaincy issue. perhaps he has said he dosnt want the role, leaving radford as club captain to do corporate events, photocalls etc, whilst on the field he (fitz) will emerge a a natural leader. other than this issue, i can see no other possible candidate for the job than fitz

FWIW i agree, but Radders will remain an easy target for some if we do, i think he can do without the stick tbf.

Guy clearly understands the psychology behind the game at this level and is a legend in the NRL. I hope and I'm sure it can translate to Hull FC.

I reckon Fitz or Long will get the captaincy and Fitz must be the favourite out of the 2.

Yer know what you mean, i think i'll fawn over the likes of Kingy and Tickle who set such a good example with their been there, done that, earned respect, and won every honour in the game attitude - oh wait a minute........ I would be very surprised if either of those players would accept the captaincy in their first season at a new club. It will be hard enough for both players as it is, for differing reasons, without the added pressure of captaincy.

I reckon to Fitz the leadership thing comes naturally anyway especially on the field.

why?

Quality playera shouldn't have a problem, take hodgson at huddersfield as an example.

Fitzgibbon will be like Galea. He might not have the captains armband but everybody will know he runs the team anyway.
