And the review panel clearly saw it and acknowledged that he'd thrown a punch. Although they said that, despite the punch being intentional, the contact with Stosic's face was accidental. Which is an interesting summation.

Well surely everyone else can see that its Stosics own fault because he put his face in a premeditated manner in the way of Cunninghams fist

according to rugby leaguer, Oldhams Danny Halliwell was given a 2 game band and a fine for punching. says it all really. I cant imagine that he did anything worse than break a guy's cheekbone

It's a clear punch, no doubt about it. It makes no difference who threw it he should have recieved more than a warning.

I think that Demetriou first made contact with the flat of his hand on the chest. and that moment and the angle of his arm meant that this elbow came round. either way, it wasnt intentional. unlike cunningham. Roby injured?. tough. It just proves one rule for some and another for others.

Recently a Quinns player was banned for 3 games , but the RFL stated that the punishment would have been more severe had an injury resulted.

Here we have a punch resulting in an injury , but no ban.

If you were to behave like that off the pitch,you would be charged with GBH.

if he can get away with that what else could he do before he is repremanded???!!!!!
