Anyone hiring a car abroad to travel to Beziers from the airport please be aware of (at least one) rip off company. We hired a car from Gerona to Perpignan advertised at £113 for the 3 days. On arrival the price was over £220. It had a "take away full, return empty" petrol clause in the contract. They charged 70e for the petrol .... 300 miles in a small family car. Plus a daily levy for leaving Spain. We met several fans who had used Gold*** and felt totally gutted. Yes .... it's our fault, but please just be wary yourself.

Take away full, return empty is the norm, as is a charge for driving outside the country of hire.

He never said it wasn't, but warned people who may have not come across it before.

Car hire companies in general are a personal gripe, as advertised prices are rarely what you pay and try to mislead customers with what they need, what the legal requirements are, and what they get for their money.
