| Just a quick note this thread is for Hull fans who want to talk about rugby, itls not a lets laugh at Rovers thread.
A couple of points, (some to do with Hull).
Firstly, how good is Chad Randall? He is the best allround hooker in SL, from what I have seen and if Quins carry on there form he must have a good chance of Man of Steele. Where did he come from, I had never heard of him in the NRL, very shrewd signing.
How didnt LMS get in the England squad great player who is far better than Crabtree.
A couple of points to do with Hull, I though Luke Gale has a very good game at halfback, he was signed from Doncaster and is a young lad, would have been a better signing short and long term than Thorman, it just shows that they are some good National League players out there, they just need a chance.
A pray to god we dont sign Aizue, he he just average and we already have 4 props better than him, his defence is very poor, like Gene always goes high, and both got caught out yesterday with penalties and missed tackle.
If Agar was to leave I would be very happy with Mcdermott as our next coach, if I was Bradford I would be sacking Mcnarmara and getting him on board now.
One last point good to see Quins bringing through some great young players like Sharp, Clubb and LMS, lon may in continue.

Some very valid points in there.
It does highlight as well at times that the rfl can get certain things right. I hope that Wales is a success as well

Im a fan of both LMS and Crabtree, Im as surprised as you that LMS hasnt made the squad.
Gale had a fantastic game but I also liked the other half back he played alongside at Doncaster last year, cant remember his name at the moment but he has also moved on, I believe still playing in the NL.

| Chad has been at the club since the Broncos days. Picked up from Manly. He has just signed a long contract with Howell who is another second rate steal we got from Aus.
We use Jimmy Dimmock(ex Bronco) amongst others to scout for us in Aus. I think it has been proved you can waste massive amounts on big name Aussies who do not perform. King, Monaghan....... it goes on
Gafa, Chad & David Howell are excellent for us each week

The lack of anywhere decent home support is a major stumbling block for Quinns.

And the chances of that are ...............................................?
29 years of trying and your crowds and the interest in London is what...
Good luck to you all, but as someone who has lived in the London area for 19 years I can't see it ever happening. Interest was at its highest in the early 90s trouble was though that London were in the lower reaches of the league. Missed the boat.

I think you're right , it is difficult to see how the support can grow to a comparable level to the heartland clubs.

| I called for us to sign Gale back when we was rumored to be signing Webster. I think the obvious plan of action for two seasons now has been to sign some promising young halfbacks from the lower divisions, I'd still like Black, McNally or Groom. We lack serious vision as a club when it comes to recruitment, it seems we won't sign anyone unless they've proved themselves for at least a decade!
I thought lots of Quins players were great and LMS looks a great prop. Personally I'd have him AND big Eorl playing for England. I agree that Aizue was terrible, in fact really terrible. After that performance I now have no doubts at all that we are going to sign him. On the up front, Galea was totally useless as well, maybe we'll sign him!!!

Plans to erect an elaborate arrangement of huge mirrors halfway down the stand so it looks like there are twice as many fans there?

To be fair, Galea is a quality player who didn't do too well last night. Aizue on the other hand...

I have to agree, apart from black he isnt that young and is an aussie, he has been playing national league for a few years now, dont think he would be a good signing, as he wouldnt come that cheap either. Not the type of player we need for a backup.

I agree we probably missed the boat with Black. We should've got him the first time he left Halifax. He does still have an explosive try scoring record though and had pace to burn. I think he's 27 now and would have been a great 7 for us this year and last. Not a chance of us going for him, or any of the young guns either though.

| I thought that Quins were fantastic last night. LMS, Heckenberg, Orr, Howell all very good but Chad Randall must be the best hooker in SL. I've only been aware of him this season really but he is real class and probably on nowhere near the top earners in SL. They seem to have made some very shrewd signings and play with real belief and confidence.
On the other hand, rovers ?? Fozzard is very ordinary, Netherton wouldn't get in any other SL squad, Aizue better not be coming here because he is poor poor poor and who were those people who wanted to keep Wheeldon ?? He is so anonymous when on the pitch that he might as well stay on the bench.
If that is a potential grand final team, then I'm Britney Spears !!!
