| Some people won't agree but i'm pretty sure we (Wires) will make the 8. I think we're only a few points off now and we although we were poor against you guys for 50 or so minutes i've seen enough positive things to suggest we'll be there.

We would play Hudds first away winnable then away to probably Quims away and then out to Saints, but the new play off system is good and any team can beat any team this year and it depends on injuries and form at the end of the season.

Think our injury problems and lack of a creative half back will leave us way off the play off positions. After first few weeks I thought we could make top 3 as we were unbeaten and not playing great so hoped we'd improve as season went on. How wrong I was we've not improved at all and last years bad luck has returned with a vengence

I agree, I think we will be 6th-8th, I think we will ground out enough wins to be in that position but is that good enough?
I have a feeling that Bradford wont make the 8 though, think Cas could take there place.

That surprises me I know they have the squad to achieve top 8 however they have a massive task ahead to achieve that, I think Cats may have a beter outside chance than Bradford. Tight competition though so hard to call

I still think Bradford have enough quality (possibly more than Hull) to make the eight they just lack some consistancy at the moment. They are however more than capable of going on a winning run.

Totally agree, I think this year is the best so far as it is a tight competition and as form hits/slumps/injuries affect teams the table can move very quickly.Plus the good weather and quicker pitches will improve some teams more than others.

| Why does everyone think that having it so anyone can beat anyone is the way forward? I have heard many people say this is the best SuperLeague so far because it is so close.
I would prefer a top 4 as there has been in the past. Where you have a couple of very hard games a season, incidently making them the best games to watch. Whats wrong with that? I don't really know how to express my point¬¬

Do you think your team should be in that top 4?
If it is a close then every game is a very hard game making them all the best to watch.

If by my team you mean Hull Fc, then yes. Large crowds, 25000 seater stadium, grade A liscence.
If you mean would i only like it if my team was in the top four? Perhaps¬¬
My point is that there cannot be 28 rounds of fantastic close games, it just will not work. The NRL league does not seem very attractive to me, i would much prefer a league with "big" teams to beat. St's and Leeds at the moment, the Bradfords and previously Wigans of the past.

| Re Whiting - i think i kind of know what you mean....this close comp stuff is all very frustrating in that you simply do not know what the hell your team are going to do week in week out (you could argue that's been our problem for a long while ).
The cap levelled off the NRL and the same is happening here, i like the idea but the reality is (as a fan) you could beat Saints one week and lose to Celtic the next it's that hard to call.

There are not 28 rounds of great rugby, however games are difficult to call only one team won at home at the week-end. Who wants the same teams year in year out in the CCup & G/final( apart form the relevant fans) for the sport to grow all teams need to be on an even playing field which the salary cap is achieving. It provides all teams and fans the optimism every season. It stops our sport becoming like football.

I agree, and in the end that has got to get quite boring for Saints and Leeds fans? Or maybe not¬¬
I think the salary cap is a great idea, but that has been in place since 1996
Another idea would be to increase it slightly to attract talent from the NRL at a younger age then 30+. Probably not practical and my idea is full of flaws, but just a thought
