Think we took a bit of a gamble on his fitness tonight as he did not seem able to get into the game when he came on.Not as inspiring as in recent weeks but we can't rely on him every week.IMO made a howler in the last minute when surely the best option was a drop goal,but eh its still only 1 defeat in 6 ..........bring on the Quins.

No i dont think so, i think he made the correct decision going 4 it, he took a gamble nd it didnt work, he will do that many more times nd it will come off, just wasnt to be. Although it would of put us top of league if thorman would of kicked it :p

Agree with this. Got on top of their forwards again when he was on.

But the quick play the balls and runs from dummy stopped and as for the tackles Houghton got through.

Was one of those nights but Berrigan was poor. Defensively he struggled to muscle them and in attack he added zip but made handling mistakes. Should have brough Houghton back on for the last 20 imo.

His worst game in a Hull shirt IMO, but that's hardly something to hold against him considering how many times he's carried the team. For once, his decision making seemed poor to me and we looked a weaker side when he was on.

Did Tommy not do something similar at the Derby when we were 11-10 down kicked to the corner instead of setting up the one pointer didn't come off and from what I remember took a fair amount of stick on here for it (I think but my memory isn't the best

Thats it, you win some and lose some. Anyone remember Jason Smith doing it in London with us 2 points down with a minute to go and we got a penalty in front of the sticks, He misread the score board and thought we were 4 points down and took the tap.I think the fact nobody in the ground thought we'd do anything but kick the penalty to level it up helped him but he got over and we won.

Notice Tommy isnt really getting much praise on here for his performance. Thought he was very good defensively and showed excellent vision in attack to set a try up.

Defensively he was a rock on Friday and we actually perked up for the 15 mins he was on, cant believe Agar keeps using him for 15 and Moa for 15. Cant carry a bench like that IMO. he needs to use them for longer or not at all i feel. Would be harsh for Tommy to lose his place for Washy next week if thats what happens.

I thought the kick to the corner he put in when under a lot of pressure and when he wasnt even meant to get the ball was superb as well, also managed to sprint for the chase putting everybody onside, as well as being second man in and smashing the guy, think it was Mcgoldrick - good play all round, and just a sign of the standard he is playing at this year without the pressure put on him by the fans, and most importantly by himself

It was probs his worst game since he signed for us but even when he came on we looked a far better side when he came on ( despite him only been half fit )

He had plenty of time with the 2 he fluffed at odsal last week

how correct you are,i never said hed of kicked it but i reckon it would of been a better option
