Would be a great idea. Given the number of shirts we sell they would easily re-cope their loses on the weekend break to France. I noticed the Giants had a fan in their squad when I read the programme.

i remember Sunderland doing something like this but you were actually on their books for the full year and got 25K wages (for 1 year) and did everything with the first team squad would be pretty cool. was funny seeing this fat middle aged guy running about at training on the bit i saw.

but would it show on the salary cap?

knowing Hull's luck and general stupidity around RFL rules a bloke on huge wages would win the competition and his salary get counted on the cap
