Is there any chance of him being in the squad for the Bradford game?

i wouldn't put him in my squad. still think he needs some more game time with reserves. give him a couple more weeks

I'd want to see him, but it all depends if he is ready

thats way i'd give him a few more weeks playing for the reserves just to blow away any cobwebs he may have since he hasn't played for god knows how long.

I wouldn't like to risk him just yet, I would carry on playing him in the reserves for a couple of weeks and then give him a game after that.

Why rush him back?

Of the positions he could play the current incumbents are doing just fine.

I think that is where we have gone wrong in the past bringing players back striaght into the team when we shouldn't have done.

I think he will play a couple more games at reserves level before he is even considered for selection.

The question is with everyone fit would he get into our side?

I may be wrong - wouldn't be the first time

- but I think with the exception of Byrne, we've had a settled 13 this year so far. if it ain't broke, don't fix it.

Although I would like to see Whiting playing soon!

Would give us more options if a back picked up a knock.

At the moment he wouldn't displace any of Radford, Manu or Tickle but would probably replace Tommy Lee on the bench IMO. If Graeme Horne got injured he'd be the obvious choice to replace him, but Horne's done enough to keep him place I reckon. If everyone were fit, there'd be some big selection dilemmas for Agar, particularly in the backs.

If Whiting shone playing reserves last week I would replace Graham Horne. Although he does nothing wrong in defence he did hold on to the ball too long a couple of times against Huddersfield when Calderwood could have sped off round the outside

Guess it depends on how well he went and how well he's going in training. I agree that there's no desperate need, but the lack of attacking threat from our right centre/wing partnership does need to be addressed at some point.

What about Moa....nothing needed changing there and we did.

Whiting is a better option on the bench imo than Lee.........he can cover more positions.

Well our best attacking centre is F/B at the moment and doing a good job of it...........

Dont think 1 centre appearance in the reserves by Whiting would justify taking over from G Horne currently. The halves need to start giving them good ball in the first place anyhow. Richard Horne may be playing fantastically well but really struggles to shift the ball right.

Depends if Washy is back. I'd still like to see Manu on the bench in place of Lee and Washy at 13.

To be fair if there is a dissapointment to be had i would have to say that Manu has been ordinary at best so maybe a run in the reserves would buck him up a tad??
Whiting will not be ready for 1st team so give the lad a few games to get his confidence back and match fitness, we are in no hurry and as sure as the sun comes up each morning we will get injuries that will mean he gets a shout again!
