He is also doing well in the League Express Albert Goldthorpe Medal. Its still very early days of the season but Richard's confidence must be really boosted by his start.

For the way he's come back from his injury and illness, he's very much deserving of this award after his start to the season.

Very well deserved. He's got off to a flyer this season and it's great to see him back in the side and playing well. Looks a yard or so faster than before his injury, and full of confidence.

Like someone said earlier - MoS shouldn't be just about a player who's playing in the grand final - it's any player who's overcome adversity.

Remember talking to Phil Clarke and he suggested someone like Paul Stephenson who has suffered a lifelong injury playing the sport but who refuses to let their injuries stop their lives. These are the guys who are true heroes of the sport.
