We dont produce halfbacks in this country any more, the bests we have to offer is Burrow, who is a very very dangerous player with ball in hand but dosnt do the jon that Aussie halfbacks do, Im not sure if thats down to coaching at junior levels but whatever the reason we just dont.

That's the problem with this medium.

It might be the style of play that Saints have brought in over the years - scooting from the ptb with big forwards on your shoulders before the defence is in place. They don't play that way in Oz what with all the wrestling after the tackle.

He is an awesome talent, but I wouldnt say hes an out and out play maker like pretty much every side in the NRL has.

I think the pace that SL is played does have a lot to do with,it, in Aus the halfback is on the ball at first reciever a lot more often then in SL becuase we tend to go for 5 quick plays.

i can confirm that hunt had no charges laid against him after this incident, neither did darius boyd or sam thaiday.....so as far as im aware, he could get a visa in the uk....but he would be looking for BIG $$$$ though as he once turned down upto $500,000 from the bunnies to re-sign with the broncs for 3 extra years on about $2000,000 a season...

yes, they formed a very strong partnership whilst at newcastle, tahu and gidley left though, tahu joined the eels and played centre for them culminating in him playing for the roos at wing and centre i think..whatever happend to gidley is anyones guess!???
