Deffo shorter, by approx. 6 metres. Sad times and the Council should step in and make sure it's sorted!

But this did help spot the size, last year the try line was the goal line, now the goal line is the deadball line

I was amazed last home game that certain posters on here was questioning whether the pitch size had been reduced or not. It's blindly obvious to a simpleton! Really annoying, and I can't see how we're allowed to have such a tiny in goal area.

It's about time the PA system was sorted out too.

And as for the goal-posts,who the hell gave permission for those toy town versions.

Nice try, but I've never asked for confirmation. And anyone with either FC Live or Sky has had a better view of the ground than someone in it in any case.

One person asked if it had ever been confirmed. He did not 'demand confirmation' as you stated. No amount of back-tracking is going to change that fact. Sweetheart.

for the non believers, here is a pic of the pitch prior to the recent changes. Although its in soccer layout you can see the RL ingoal area markings going to the edge of the grass www.premierleague.com/en-gb/club ... .html/hull sadly I think Hull fc have gone from having a civil partnership at the KC to being mere rent boys. You should be raising the issue with the council as the people of Hull paid for that facility and now the soccer club are taking liberties.

As someone already mentioned the goal line for football is now the same as the dead ball line for rugby meaning the football pitch is going to be longer for Hull City. I think part of that is because of them being in European competition. I recall when a team were in it years ago and had to make the pitch slightly longer for their games in Europe.

Not that this should hinder the length of the pitch for rugby but maybe they thought that because other teams still play with short pitches that it wouldn't be a problem. I take it the area around the pitch lines, in a different shade of green, can't be used to make the pitch longer or wider at all?

You mean the sport that was called by that name throughout England in the 40s/50s & 60s? Even immortalised in Childrens Ladybird books which referred to football as soccer??
The name even comes from Asociation Football

Ah well, goodbye to international games at the KC....Correct me if I'm wrong (I'm sure you will if I am) but is it right that international games can only be played on a full sized pitch?
