Clearest message from the two videos on the website is that there is a renewed focus on youth development, whether that be facilities, full-time training with the main squad, balancing the squad to avoid "blockers" (ie average players being recruited that end up blocking homegrown player opportunities) or just giving these young players the necessary opportunities. Just looking at both interviews on K.C.T.V. have to say I am getting pretty excited about the coming season.Gentle comes across as articulate in his talking to the media.Also his statement he will give players a chance,no matter what their age if they are good enough is encouraging.

Just read on hullfc.com that the players have had their feet measured and their running assesed so they can choose the right boots and trainers for each player. I love this attention to detail, in a sport like ours where every detail counts im glad gentle is a perfectionist

They have their fitness tests tomorrow, then ready start properly next week.

Good interview with him on Humberside this morning! He says he will be targeting at least 4 from 6 at the start! After listening to Eamon O'Carrol last night on sportstalk as well, it's all just so refreshing to know we are in good hands and there is a light at the end of the tunnel (which is'nt a train!)

I think 4 from 6 is a realistic aim. Wire at Home and Saints away will be tough fixtures, and going to Catalan in the 2nd game isn't ideal either.

As I have said before, I hope the fans give the team time to gel, as we haven't had this many changes for many years. So yes I'd be happy with 4 wins from 6, the most important thing for me is that we compete in the games we lose and show some attacking flair for the first time in years.
