I reckon he's only come to SL to serve his ban and will be back in the NRL next year. No matter what saints are paying him he could double it in the NRL. Great player though and looking forward to seeing him play

Guess Saints weren't 175k under the cap seeing as they have just released one player and loaned another out.

Without looking it up I thought the marquee player had to get at least 175K but only half counts on the cap, therefore around 90K. That could be credibly explained by the release and loan Sts have just done.

Yes you are right, Saints would need 175 of the cap as the rest is the marquee rule, so taking Owens and Walker off the cap at a guess would have released about 100k.

It could mean Jonny Lomax not being offered a new deal for next season and beyond.
