| Just don't get the drip feed of fixtures.......
I want to know when Catalans away is & home fixtures.
I know its only a day 'to wait' but just what does that achieve ????

Id imagine its so they have 3 days of media coverage and social media posts rather than 1, but whether it actually helps shift any more tickets is debatable

| Was really hoping we avoided you lot in round 1, think you could be bang up for it and prove problematic, not necessarily on skill level but boy you should be up for it with newbies and last years ending ringing in your ears.
You are 3 weeks into pre season before we’ve even strapped our boots up. Perfect time to catch a team cold, like we did with Wigan this season.
hopefully get a strong crowd 20k + should be the aim with 3 months to market it

You've got as many "newbies"
Ins: Oliver Gildart (Leigh), Peta Hiku (North Queensland Cowboys), AJ Wallace (Bradford), Tyrone May (Catalans), Niall Evalds (Castleford), Jai Whitbread (Wakefield), Reiss Butterworth (Dewsbury), Kelepi Tanginoa (Wakefield)
And despite getting humiliated by Wigan when it mattered the thing ringing in your ears is the 100% commitment to silverware. A team your lot have rightly ridiculed for finishing 10th won't present any sort of challenge unfortunately.

Thanks, i know how many we’ve signed.
I think the stark difference is the clear out vs the replacement of legends. Yours can’t be any worse then the garbage you got rid of, so an obvious improvement. Ours are replacing quality players, so no guarantee of improvement.
Challenging for silverware, which is the aim is a process building for the full season, again like Wigan did after a shaky start. That’s forward thinking. Getting numerous drubbings off your back from the previous season as soon as possible is putting retrospective demons to bed which in my opinion provides a greater level of motivation. Factor in the usual derby discrepancies it’s going to be a tough old game
I still think 1-17 were comfortably stronger and will finish higher, but that first game could well be the defining one for you lot knowing another beating on the back of last season could get the wicked winds of change howling through west hull earlier then ever. Hence why you will win by 10

June and July looks to be the toughest run of fixtures for the season with a trip to Catalan end of July then a visit from St's following weekend in August just for good measure.
Looks like the pitch must be getting relaid in May with no home games in that month.

| Its great to see weekend fixtures again on Saturdays in particular, but you have to wonder with all the games being televised this year how that will work and when and how will they be spread over each weekend perhaps eventually we will see a true fixture list with adjustments for that fact.

It is a strange one, you'd think that with all the technology available today they'd be able to have a fixture list where at the halfway stage every team would have played each other once.
Also worth noting we play our last home in April then we have no games in May and then the next home fixture in June is Leeds again.

Wigan are the same, play Leigh 3 times before they play rhinos once, we only play Salford in round 16 and round 26 too...just seems like another baffling/ incompetent decision by the RFL, by round 22 should have played everyone home and away once...then move onto the loop fixtures

I agree, you'd think they'd have all clubs playing each other home and away and then play the loop fixtures. The lopsided and stacked fixtures the RFL throw out probably doesn't help the game as a whole either.
We see it so many times that the fixtures always have clubs playing the same teams in quick succession whilst having huge gaps with other teams.
Even with the loop fixtures and other considerations/complications its certainly possible to have the fixtures for the 12 clubs to play each other more evenly spread.
Knowing the RFL they are using spreadsheets to work the fixtures lists or a ZX Spectrum

| At 1st glance fixtures seem fairly spread out in terms of difficulty...but Hull are difficult to predict, if its a game against the top4 early in the season its maximum effort, Salford at home late in the season probably strolling about the field like its a friendly I hope and pray we sort out our end of season dropoffs!

Still haven't seen any confirmation that SKY will show more than 2 games a week on TV, the rest may be red button and streaming. They may want some Saturday afternoon content as Football has a 3pm Saturday blackout.

| Hull KR supporters "fume" at number of Thursday night TV games. I guess that's the price of success.

| The six again is a mockery but at least teams are going to be punished for abusing it.
Rules changes:
"Rugby League Live can reveal that from next season, a team will concede a regulatory penalty, rather than a six again, for any offence that takes place in the opposition's own 40-metre area. As an example, if a defender is too slow at releasing a player when the attacking team is within 40 metres of their own try line, a penalty shall be called, rather than a six again, as has been the case in recent years. Set restarts will be given in the remaining area of the field.
The change has been made to stop teams from purposely holding down at the start of a tackle count, which allows the defensive line to take shape at the expense of having to make one extra tackle. It is a rule change that will likely be well received by supporters, who have regularly voiced their annoyance when the tactic has been used by teams.
But it is one of several changes that have been made, all with a focus on cleaning up the ruck from next season. Moving forward, there will be a clampdown on incorrect play the balls with players now being warned that they must make a genuine attempt to touch the ball with their foot.
From next year, players must regain their feet and have no other body part in contact with the ground. It is the ball carrier's responsibility to not place the ball on the defender and make a genuine attempt to contact the ball on their foot".
