Just lacked a bit of nous at times tonight. Errors and penalties at the start of both halves cost us.

It was a good game but I'm a bit disappointed.

Impatient at the end there. Gale shouldn't have attempted to go for the drop goal, he was too far out. He should have put it in the corner.

Some positives there though but not good enough to get the result tonight.

We came up with some poor plays at key moments.

Too many errors and too many penalties to get the win. But it was a good dig. I suppose its a decent sign that we still could have won that.
Field was the difference. Take him out of that team and Wigan would really struggle in my opinion.

Can't knock thr effort, just a bit dumb at times, when Connor has the ball, you have to expect the offload, Mitch takes that ball and we have a chance of a drop goal.

Pretty disappointing performance overall and a game we had every chance of winning. Still not able to win these sort of games due to dumb at times and indiscipline. Sloppy starts to both 1st & 2nd half. Should have taken the game to Wigan but fir some reason we didn’t use the forwards enough for me. Poor decision not to take the opportunity fir a drop goal when we were in front of the post with 7 mins to go.

Two great try assists from Lovodua but ultimately his missed tackle on Field cost us the game.

Should’ve won that. Didn’t deserve it with daft penalties but it was there for the taking.

Right result, ran them close but these are games we need to be winning to get in the top 6.

I don't you can highlight on instance, the poor defense that allowed Farell to run 25 meters and get them in position for the drop was equally poor.

I don't think Wigan away is the type of game we need to win, would have been nice though.

Still in the mix, not seen anything from other teams except Catalans and Saints to say we can't finish above them.

Thought you probably should have won that game - apart from a poor opening 15 minutes you were mostly on top and maybe just came up with too many silly mistakes.

A lot to be positive about though as previous Hull sides would have collapsed after that opening 15.

Wigan are a fit team and have always had a lot of grit and resilience, add that bit of individual quality and we're always dangerous towards the end of the game if you don't take your chances. The big positive for us was that we lost two players to injury, we were running out of subs but still hung in there.

Put Bowden there or McNamara to give Houghton a break, looked tired the last 5, hence the easy meters for the drop goal.

Hodgsons biggest weakness, use of the bench.
