Would love to see a new team win it for a change

It isn't really a 32 game season though in its current format. You need to win 17 or there abouts games out of 30, and then two more at the end and you're champions. Consistency is fairly irrelevant. The club have all season said they just wanted to make sure they were at there best when it mattered. For the most part we have paced the season well. It's much harder when you have a cup run without playing any lesser teams that you can rest players against. I think the reason Radford was so frustrated after the Huddersfield game is that it was a game we had targeted to win, and the players attitude wasn't good enough. Perhaps the only time this season that has happened where we identified a game as really important but didn't perform.

I wouldn't swap Castleford's season for ours at this stage, at least not in terms of results. We have a nice shiny trophy. They have a dinner plate. We are three wins away from being champions, they are two. If Saints win the only thing that separates us is that they will have home advantage. People can call Castleford the real champions all you like, but that isn't the format. If this was F1, all they have done is qualify on pole. The race starts now.

So there is no Gale, Moors, Hardaker, Millington, Massey, Holmes, Milner or Shenton.

Would be hugely disappointed not to win now.

Junior Moors also looks to have not been named in the 19 for Cas.

Big opportunity for Hull to do the business on Friday to claim 3rd place, be more than a little disappointed if we don't now with Cas resting so many. Millington, Moors, Massey & Milner missing means we should really be able to get on top in the forward battle.

If that's who they have missing and we are just about full strength it would be a disaster to lose this game, given all the circumstances.

It's remains to be seen who actually plays.

Believe me they aren't playing games, those not named won't be playing. In fact I still expect one or two more senior players not to start.

If Green is fit I think our team picks itself really.

I was surprised to see Webster in there. Wouldn't be shocked if he didn't play.

Can't see Cas playing that many mind games and probably have their eyes on the SF so Powell resting his big guys as they have the opportunity to.

Pay on the gate? Or can we get tickets from stadium still?

You can still get tickets from the Hull club shop and if you buy from the club shop we keep some of the money.
I imagine you will be able to pay on the gate though, can't see it been close to a sell out. Hull sold over 1000 tickets so far, expect 2-3000 Hull fans.

Get a feeling,that Powell would rather Leeds try to knock us out,then his team facing us in the semi final.

If he was fearful of Hull you would think he would take the opportunity to knock you out of the 4 altogether.

This seems to suggest he is more wary of Wigan than Hull.

Never an easy game for you lot at Headingley though.

I'm hopeful that by 10pm Friday Wigan will be all but out of the picture.

The problem of that is they would be reliant on Wakey losing to Wigan if Cas beat us to knock us out (should St's win on Thursday). To be fair the way Wakey have played i wouldn't bet against them getting a result against Wigan (which would be great for Yorkshire if St's get beat).

Think Cas would rather see us finish 3rd and take a trip to Headingley than take a chance we may finish 4th and play them in the SF.

Its all if's and but's however Cas know they avoid us in the SF if we win on Friday, think that and the fact Powell has the opportunity to rest players has had a bearing on his 19 man squad.

dont get me wrong am over the moon cas have rested some players, but I also worried by a few thinking it should be a easy win, hope the players don't think that, am sure powell will have his players who are playing up for this clash and will cert look to rattle hull

If it is Leeds in the semi, ground capacity will be reduced to 12500, with 3,000 tickets being allocated to the away team.

Don't think anyone has siad it will be an easy win just that it will be disappointing if we lose as we have a very good opportunity to win.
I'm hoping that Radford has the team up for the game and play from the moment the whistle is blown to start the game, would love them to be able to build up a commanding lead and have the game as good as over by the 60 minute mark.

The fact is Cas are still are very good side but with the bulk of their big forwards rested if we are full strength we should be winning this game if we don't then we aren't deserving of a top 4 spot.
