Over generous in my opinion. For a start his kicking game is at best average and realistically probably not that good which is a skill that is critical in his position at this level. His running game hasn't exactly had the opposition reeling and his pass quality is reasonable again at best.

If he had high standards in these departments but was simply too young to manage a game then there would be a future for him as he matures. As I pointed out pre-Doncaster game if his skills and 'gifted' attributes were there he should rip it up in the Championship especially with a game manager as good as Cooke alongside him. It's early days for him there yet but the signs aren't particularly good.

Shame it looks odds on it isn't going to happen for Milky and ourselves.

PG thought he was capable of making the transition to bring him half way round the world, and I know Gaz Ellis (who incidentally, has been monumental in a disappointing season) thought he could also cut the mustard for us.

Tbh i thought Milky was thrown in at the deep end last season and hasn't fully recovered. Loss of form and confidence and possibly home sick. Plus everytime he plays he's always targetted and generally gets smacked 2/3 times.

I think he is a good player and could be a quality 7 but not in England.

Jacob miller is peter gentles god son. Its quite laughable the fact he ended up here as a top earner.

Almost as laughable as having a pub landlord as coach. But I'm prepared (as are most) to give them both a chance.

I think defensively it is easier defending centrally than out wide. He would get players mainly running straight at him, rather than when he defends out wide, where he may have to slide across, tackle people who are quicker and running different lines etc.

That's why Thompson has emerged as an attacking prop because he seems to be able to tackle when running straight at him but put him out wide and his tackling is poor.

I would expect Miller to go now. He is an out and out scrum half and will be well down the pecking order.

Rankin (who was of course a Radford signing) offers more, especially with his ability to play full back, his pace and his goal kicking and I hope he stays.

Its imperative Rankin stays if we suffer our usual curse of the half backs.

I think Miller has played his last game for us, it will be better for us to play the likes of Abdul for our future.

I hope he gets an NRL contract next year and does well, his game will have to improve massively to make an impact on the NRL though.

I feel a bit sorry for him really. Gentle offered him big bucks and probably a promise of 1st team rugby. Then the coach changes, drops him (correct decision IMO), now finds himself at a club that doesn't want him, across the world from his family and may feel that he has to stay in the UK now as his GF is pregnant with his child.

I hope his Mrs sees sense and goes over to Australia with him!

Clearly it hasn't worked out and the writing was probably on the wall as soon as Gentle got sacked. He may not have been what we were looking for but he tried his best and I for one would like to wish him good luck for his future career.

Does his Mrs even know he has a GF? People should be careful what they put on here, it's not FB or Twitter, after all

None of us really know what goes on behind the scenes and especially in training where the coaches will be monitoring players attitudes.

But the response from Dons fans regarding his lack of commitment speaks volumes i fear.

There was a chance for him to really make a statement but he seems to have done the opposite.

Even before the signings, I said before the Wakefield game Miller might as well pack up and go home now after one of our U19s got picked in front of him. It hasn't worked out for him or the club which is a real shame , as I wanted him to do well. His future lies somewhere else and I hope it turns out good for him.
