I can't see how you can criticise Anderson for his post match comments, he made a fair comment on what he'd seen and does not need to apologise IMO, with maybe the exception of calling 2 officials at either end of the ground muppets.

honestly there is some biased opinions on here, pause the highlights at 3.49 and you can clearly see that ellis has hit the back of luke robinsons head, and i don't know where the rubbish that he's ducking come from as ellis hit him on the blind side. Also for the person who said that wouldn't be a ban in the NRL it has already happened this season twice to sam burgess and he didn't make direct contact to the head unlike ellis, that will be a 2-3 match ban easy. its impossible to put a legal big hit on burrow or robinson as you would have to start low to the ground and come up and ellis didn't even bend hes back with that tackle.

im not arguing that game is being over sanitized, and origin is a completely different argument its so popular because you know there would be fights and big hits thats why the NRL are struggling to find a happy medium and not referee it differently from any other NRL match. BUT ellis has put in a bad tackle where he's shoulder has made direct contact with robinson's head and should be banned, he hasn't even made an attempt tackle him below he's shoulder or he would of at least bent down a little bit. I doubt he will get less than a 2 game ban.

He probably knew when he made the tackle he was going to get into trouble over it...the desperation in trying to justify/defend the fact he's been charged is laughable on here. Most of you at the game probably expected he'd get in trouble fo it if your honest.

Hits like that will always get players into trouble, no blubbering or straw clutching will change that.

The amount of Giants fans on this thread and they all have selective posting it seems as they all seem to ignore the question re Crabtree on Miller with his blatant shoulder.

For me there was nothing wrong in the tackle and had Robinson got up like Miller did no action would have been taken. The RFL are showing again what an incompetent bunch they are re disciplinary as the Justin Poore tackle was more pure luck that McDonnel landed on his back, yet he gets a slap on the wrist & why because & quote 'player lands on back'. It was a dangerous and illegal tackle regardless.

The issue regarding smaller players V bigger players is something that needs looking at as they also have a responsibility to be aware and for me Robinson faffed for ages then turned straight into an on rushing Ellis and his chest there was only going to be one outcome.

The game is getting soft and is becoming more like touch rugby than ever. Refs don't even have the bottle to use a yellow let alone reds for incidents instead copping out if making a decision and putting it on report.
